An atheist seated next to a spiritually mature Christian on a long flight across the Caribbean en route to Los Angeles provided for an interesting dialogue on two conflicting world views. I have also taken the initiative of engaging open minded conversations with the person next to me in the course of my regular trips, business or otherwise. I believe that it is an opportune moment to learn or share life experiences with people with various cultural orientations. I grew up in a community that did not value religion much though none openly pronounced an inclination to atheism. As provided in chapter 3, Sire (2015) explains that modern day philosophy has jaded the views on ontology and epistemology in reverse. He posits, “Ontology precedes epistemology and hermeneutics—and whatever else there may be” (p. 73).
