There are many items that are geared towards weight focused individuals to help them be more weight conscious. Consumers have items such as fitbits and Apple watches to help keep track of their steps, heart beat, and weight focused concerns. Other programs to help assist consumers in weight control are fitness classes that promise support and lose weight in a certain amount of time. Some of these come with memberships, contracts, or month-to-month obligations. Programs such as Orange Theory, Crossfit, or Herbalife have programs to help join groups in losing weight, presenting various challenges each month. In addition, you also have products that each of these service providers sell to consumers to promote their brand and a more fitness conscious consumable products. Other programs like Slim Fast or Weight Watchers is a different type of program that is also focused on their products and a certain way to lose weight as a group support.
I have worked with some employers that have supported employees to lose weight or stay in the gym by giving so many days off a year or certain amounts of money a year towards things like memberships or work out shoes. Many employers get group discounts from different types of gyms, or depending on what industry they work, they can get an automatic discount. Being a police officer can sometimes provide free gym membership to places like the YMCA. A company could also do a contest to who can lose the most weight and host a group activity so many times during the week to help support staying in shape. Prizes could be different depending on the amount of weight lost. My previous company would do group events to support various activities like the breast cancer race.

?The primary reason why I believe that 80% U.S commuters drive alone a large population lives in rural areas and there is no proper public transportation available. By improving the public transportation system across the rural areas in U.S will encourage people to use them. Some of the reasons why Americans may not want to drive alone to work is to reduce their fuel expenses, maintenance cost of vehicles, safety and most importantly to avoid loneliness. The mean commute time for private vehicle of 20 minute can still be reduced by firstly encouraging employees to work from home compulsorily once a week for workers whose job profile allows like IT professionals, marketing etc. Having a reduced travel time will give employees more time to spend quality time with family and friends. The overall consumption of fuel across the country will also come down. A shorter travel time will also reduce stress levels among employees. Introduction of Car Pooling Apps may help commuters to connect with people who travel to same locations daily and joining them would help to make new friends and reduce fuel bills (Seyedabrishami, Mamdoohi, Barzegar, & Hasanpour, 2012).
