In the 21st century, gender inequality continues to be a defining characteristic of the labor market. The lack of women in managerial positions is contributed by social stereotypes, emphasizing leadership as a man’s job. Additionally, society makes it hard for women to rise to managerial positions. In the hiring process, different organizations prefer men for physical positions limiting the participation of women in the labor market.
The issue is about social profiling, where the position of women is limited to care and home to nurture. Society trains and expects women to stay at home caring for the family. Women are deemed insufficient owing to their mothering nature and perception that they are soft.
Women are greatly affected by gender inequality as it limits their professional advancement and economic security. Lack of diversity affects the economy by widening the gender gap in employment. Women are subjected to poverty and alienation based on the fact that they are not economically productive.
Increasing participation of women in managerial positions helps to stimulate growth and productivity. Women in managerial positions act and role models, inspiring the girl child to pursue education and stay in school. As such, it reduces early marriages by maintaining the girls’ child motivated in education.
Unequal societies lack cohesion. As such, increasing equality and diversity helps to achieve economic prosperity and growth. The efforts of a woman are better utilized in development, for instance, in the next generation’s education.
Initially, I perceived that management was a function of wits and a typical job reserved for men. However, analysis of the subject helped me realize that women’s participation in management helps increase leadership skills. They help to improve decision making paving the way for equality.

Analyzing diversity enables one to respect and value different cultures. I can develop tolerance to other person’s beliefs and understanding. Increasing involvement as a strategy helps in professional growth. It guides a sense of unity where the employees are accorded respect and importance to the organization. Additionally, it helps improve personal growth by shaping learning and growth. It helps to achieve cultural harmony and mutual respect.
Focusing on diversity and inclusion is not only important for the success of the organization. It is also important for humanity. Increased participation of different groups helps to shape productivity by introducing different ideas to the workplace. Additionally, it promotes cohesion, unity, and employee performance. As the employees are satisfied with their jobs, they develop a sense of responsibility to the workplace, eventually improving the overall productivity of the labor force. On the other hand, increased diversity with weak management increases cases of discrimination. Discrimination rises in the case a certain group of people feels threatened.
