Healthcare response paper
Telehealth for home has proved the most convenient method of providing services to patients. Several patients find themselves in a situation that they cannot access the hospital facilities to be taken care of. They run short of funds for traveling to hospitals. They may also experience the boredom of interacting with other patients in hospitals and fear experiencing the pain of other patients. House and Storm 2014 stated that some natural conditions like the weather might also hinder patients from reaching the facilities. Technology has advanced telehealth facilities to facilitate patients to converse with their doctors and interrogate their situation, thus diagnosing their illness. This technological advancement highly improves patients’ comfort of access to facilities. This paper is a response to several texts by a variety of authors on healthcare services and facilities.
Some healthcare centers have implemented this telehealth at homes. The management in these institutions ensures proper therapeutic services to the patients. Doctors may engage in home-to-home visits to attain to the patients. Patients find themselves comfortable with nurses’ or doctors’ regular visits at their homes, where they experience face-to-face interaction with the healthcare providers (Quinn et al., 2019). This is a proper avenue for them to air out their health history with the healthcare providers.
According to (Cassiday et al 2021), doctors and nurses prepare themselves adequately to offer services to the patients before they face them. However, most organizations are unwilling to implement telehealth at home due to the costs involved and undesired to travel to varied areas. They do not enjoy the change of the environment.
In conclusion, telehealth has proved convenient to all-round characters of patients in different parts of the world. They include those lacking the desire to interact with a variety of patients and also those who are hindered from reaching the facilities by certain conditions. I can recommend telehealth to be implemented in almost all healthcare organizations for the effectiveness of service to the patients.
