The essay/ report will be assessed by staff assessing Learning Outcomes K1, 2, 3, S1, 2.

Requirements:

• Essay (2,000 words as a guideline only excluding reference list + or – 10%  and excluding table of content and references).
• Reference list (between 5 – 10 references – do not use/ include Wikipedia, it won’t be accepted)

You are required to discuss one of the following questions.

Choose ONE essay title/question from the list below.

Questions:

1. Discuss four of the fundamental global issues that a company should always consider, before leaping into new international operations (Business and Management pathway). Suggest some ways of overcoming these challenges.

• Discuss four of the fundamental global issues affecting events management, e.g. issues affecting World Heritage Sites or special events and festivals; managing sport facilities and major events, etc. (Events Management Pathway) How can these obstacles be surmounted?

• Discuss four of the fundamental global issues challenging the International Hospitality Management sector (International Tourism and Hospitality Management pathway, Tourism

Management). Suggest some solutions.

‘Dimensions of globalizations’ – You can discuss the following questions from a cultural, political, economic, ecological or technological context in relation to your pathway choice. Ensure you give relevant examples where applicable.
