After Apple released iPhone X in 2017, people were concerned about the price. They wondered if it was worth its high price. Its price starts from $999, and it has diverse new features such as an OLED screen and Face ID facial recognition (Forbes Technology Council, 2018). According to Apple, it vision has always been to introduce an iPhone that is intelligent it can respond to a person’s voice, also when tapped (Apple Inc., 2018). Hence, the introduction of iPhone X has allowed it to achieve its vision. However, there has been debate on whether iPhone X is worth the price tag. Although people are skeptical, iPhone X is an improvement from other iPhones, with improved features and it is fast.
First, iPhone X has diverse new features that differentiate it from the previous iPhone models. Chen (2017) maintains that the model has taken a huge leap as it does not have a home button. Hence it is less spontaneous to utilize compared to other iPhone models. Additionally, it is the first model to have a face scanner for unlocking. According to a review by Merced (2017), iPhone X is a satisfying gadget. It has a 5.8-inch screen which is larger compared to the 5.5-inch display on the iPhone 8 plus. Merced (2017) also maintains that iPhone X is faster compared to the iPhone 6s which makes it worth the money.
In turn, reviews gathered by Forbes Technology Council (2018) shows that iPhone X is worth the price tag. Nine Forbes Tech council members shared their opinions concerning the model. One of the reviewers maintained that it is an improvement for biometrics and gadget security. An astute iOS client will find the iPhone X worth the price. It has highly contributed to the growing ecosystem of secure devices. One of the council members also maintains that the phone has an improved camera and fun as it allows a person to send Animojis. Based on reviews from different individuals, iPhone X is worth the money. Some of the factors that make it worth the price tag is due to its different new features. For instance, it is faster compared to the previous iPhone models. It has a face scanner that allows a user to unlock their phone. Moreover, it lacks a home button making it less spontaneous to use. Other features that make the iPhone X worth the money is that it has improved security and it has improved cameras. It has a shortcut known as Reachability that makes it easy for a user to use their thumb to reach for buttons or apps on the top row.
