Accessibility Statement For BUSN09050 (Business Research Skills)

This module is coordinated by Dr Narayan Bhattarai in the School of Business and Creative Industries. I want as many people as possible to be able to use this module. For example, that means you should ideally be able to:

• change colours, contrast levels and fonts
• zoom in reasonably without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the module using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the module using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader

I’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand while recognising, balancing and incorporating the academic rigours of the subject matter and your level of studies.

I know some parts of this module are not fully accessible, for example:

• the text may not re-flow in a single column when you change the size of the browser window
• you may not be able to modify the line height or spacing of the text
• many older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
• live video streams do not always have captions
• some of the models are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard
• you may not be able to skip to the main content when using a screen reader
• there’s a limit to how far you can magnify the pages

As the module coordinator, I continue to develop the module with the aim of enhancing the accessibility to ensure that as many people as is possible can use the module for their studies.
