Health policies affect every aspect of nursing such as nursing practice, education, staffing, roles, and responsibilities (Finkelman, 2020).  As a nurse manager, (or do you need that of nurse leader follow this link https://bit.ly/3lnYzdn) I would thank the staff nurse for their findings and look into the policy myself. If the policy is in fact 6 years outdated, I would bring that to the attention of my Director.
