Martin Luther King easily motivated people to join his cause and make his vision a reality. I have a dream clearly articulated the vision he had for the American society and not for the black communities only (HuffPost Para. 23). It is imperative that one understands his mastery of employing pathos in the speech I have a dream through which he paved way for change within the greater American society and the world through the Civil Rights Movement.

Telling the truth elicits good emotions in people while falsehoods present an opposite response. One way that Dr. Martin Luther King used to stir up emotions among all American people was by boldly exposing both the white and African American communities to glaring injustices happening all around them. At the start of the iconic speech, he stated that, “I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation” (HuffPost Para. 1).
