This is an extra credit assignment. It is not mandatory that you complete this assignment. This extra credit assignment is worth 5 points. These 5 points will be added onto your final grade.
We often take classes in college that may not directly relate to our desired goals and careers but ideally all classes will somehow relate to our future goals. For this brief paper you will be explaining and researching a graduate school/job. You will also discuss how the course material will influence your future career plans.
You do not have to plan to attend graduate school to complete this assignment. You do not have to want a career in the psychology field to complete this assignment.
I hope that you can relate some of the information that we covered in class to your dream job.

Explain what career you want to have in the future. You should know a general ‘name’ or ‘title’ for what you hope to do in the future. Also explain this career in your own words, and what you will be doing in this job.
1
CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING THAT APPLIES FOR YOU BASED ON HOW MUCH (IF ANY) ADDITIONAL SCHOOLING YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR DREAM JOB:
A. If you need a graduate degree for your career: Search online for a graduate program that you would want to attend. Give the name of this program and the name of the University. What type of degree will you earn (e.g., master’s, doctorate, MBA, M.D., J.D.)? Explain why you like the program and want to go there. Identify 1-2 faculty members within this program that you want to work with and explain why you want them to be your advisor.
B. If you do not need a graduate degree for your career: Find a job posting or a current job description (it can be a job that someone else has) that you would like to have for your career. Name the company and describe the job duties. Explain why you like/want this job and to work at this company.
2
Next, explain how this class and the material we covered impacted your decision/perception about your future career plans. Explain what information from class you feel like had the biggest impression on you. In other words, describe what you feel is the biggest/most important thing you learned in this class.
