Business owners fail to understand that just like any other occupation leadership in business requires knowledge. Further, it necessary to set good examples during the hard times like financial crisis, industrial actions so that employees emulate the confidence and determination they see in the leader (Kostanyan, 2017). When the workforce follows their seniors, then crisis resolution is smooth and is less costly to the business owner. Therefore, the deeds of the leader should set a standard that the juniors would aspire to achieve.

Leaders should seek and accept responsibility

Great leaders should avoid pursuing glory and instead allow to be accountable during the crisis. They are held responsible for their actions and also for those of their minority.  The leader should thus avoid passing faults to the juniors by fixing the existing problem through taking corrective action and moving on. The leader should consider finding the best in every employee as their goal regardless of the effort they need to realize the goal. Therefore, as a leader, one must be ready to make tough choices that bring the desired change in the business.

Appreciating personal strengths and limitations while pursuing self-improvement

The leader must comprehend the unique position he holds within the organization. They must analyze what they know about the organization as well as what they are yet to understand the business dynamics. Further, the leader should also identify attribute they possess which can help improve the business performance. The leaders should then strive to improve on their strengths so that they can lead their juniors efficiently (Amanchukwu, & Gloria, 2015). It is through workshops, reflection, and enrolling for management courses that the leaders can eliminate the limitations they face when discharging their services in the business environment. Lastly, the leader must strive to improve on virtues like humility which helps them acknowledge their limitations. When leaders admit their limitation the employees feel free to communicate on significant issues with the management.
