The article by Karikari et.al (2016) attempts to
address the challenge science communication and research, particularly in
Africa. The authors argue that though there have been improvements in the
scientific research output as far as Africa is concerned, there exist the
challenges of public understanding of science (Karikari, Yawson & Quansah, 2016). That is because there is little interest amongst the
scientists, poor training approach in the continent, low level of literacy and
even the huge number of languages. Then, the authors proceed to provide
probable solutions to these challenges.
