Paper Instructions

The instructions, task outline is all in the files attached. The medium/film options that essay will be analyzing are either “Buying Sex” or “Killing them Safely”, I will attach the links to these documentaries. YOU pick ONE from the two options to do the essay on. I WILL ALSO ATTACH A SAMPLE ESSAY THAT RECEIVED AN A GRADE, look at it for how to do this essay how the professor expects.

Buying Sex: https://www-nfb-ca.ezproxy.library.yorku.ca/film/buying_sex/ Killing them Safely: https://www.amazon.com/Killing-Them-Safely-Rick-Smith/dp/B017V4J0M6 Critical Thinking… >Identifying fallacies, good or bad argument patterns, about the “argumentation principles” – were they followed to create strong arguments + violated that create problems

(*) Every set of instruction will be attached in the files below but here is my own concise summary of the instructions (what I want done):

IDENTIFY good or bad argument patterns.
A) What are the arguments in the movie that are being made?
B) Roughly diagram the arguments (email me if you do not know what it means to diagram an argument)
C) Analyze them by uncovering argument schemes and or fallacies —— MOST important part. PICK which fallacies you want to write about.
D) Take these fallacies and make connections with the “Argumentation Principles” – were they followed to create strong arguments + violated that create problems

Some essay options I took from the file attached, feel free to pick a different one from on there:

“*- an essay about ad hominems, in connection with a lack of relevant rationale (R condition), violation of the respect principle, and slanting by distortion.* [**I have attached some notes on ad hominems + use your own knowledge on ad hominems**]”

“*an essay about arguments with irrelevant premises (e.g. appeal to popularity and two- wrongs reasoning), and how they show an arguer violating the fallibility principle.* [*Video on two wrongs reasoning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yoivAITliU]”

(*) IMPORTANT. Please see the essay template file to see how to structure the essay the way the professor wants it.

(*) Citing in the body of the essay sample: (Buying Sex, 2013, 45:00 – 46:15)

Overall, please read every instruction on the files attached. The only instruction to excuse is the word count. You may write as much as I paid for.
I hope all of this isn’t too confusing, please email me as frequently as you like for any questions of what I expect I will be happy to answer. Thank you so much!
